Fluent and Secure User Connection with Immutable Passport
Immutable Passport is a significant advancement in the world of Web3 gaming, providing users with an unprecedented method of wallet connection and recovery. Users can now create and recover their wallets using their Google or Apple accounts, or via email. This feature is designed to simplify the user experience while maintaining a high level of security.
Integration with Popular Games and Applications
Immutable Passport is integrated into five games and applications, including Gods Unchained, Blocklete Golf, B/R Watch 2 Earn, TokenTrove, and AtomicHub. These applications have a combined user base of over 500,000 people. Additionally, Immutable has launched an interactive dashboard post-connection, making it easy for users to discover new games and manage funds and in-game items.
Security and Non-Custodial Wallets
Immutable utilizes the Magic software development kit to generate a secure private key for users during their initial connection. This key is encrypted and stored in an Amazon Web Services hardware security module (HSM), ensuring that neither Immutable nor Magic have access to it. This process makes Immutable Passport a non-custodial solution, as users do not have to trust Immutable with their funds.
However, concerns remain regarding potential phishing attacks and user account hacks, which are worrying many members of the crypto community.
Immutable has recently integrated Transak as a payment option and announced the introduction of feeless transactions for its zkEVM platform in 2024.
