You can now trade the ApeCoin $APE token on Binance.
Indeed, all the owners of the NFT projects created by the company Yuga Labs, Bored Apes and Mutants Apes, have been able to claim their tokens on the official website: ApeCoin.com.
The airdrop is active for a period of 90 days, giving all NFT holders time to get their due.
If you have a Bored Ape Kennel Club in addition to your Bored Ape or Mutant Ape in your wallet, you will get a bonus on your allowance:
- Bored Ape Yacht Club only= 10 094 $APE
- Mutant Ape Yacht Club only= 2 042 $APE
- Bored Ape Yacht Club + Kennel Club in the wallet = 10 950 $APE
- Mutant Ape Yacht Club + Kennel Club in the wallet = 2 898 $APE
At the time of writing, just over 50% of eligible addresses have already claimed their tokens, or 71 million tokens out of the 150 million planned for the airdrop.

$APE: a highly volatile token at launch
If you tried your luck on the various centralized or non-centralized exchanges at the launch of the $APE token, you faced impressive volatility. Indeed, this is due to the low liquidity of the token. With only 277 million tokens in circulation at most spread across the various exchanges, the price of ApeCoin initially soared in the face of buying pressure before spiking back down to stabilize.
$APE experienced an ATH of several tens of dollars on some exchanges (i.e. a diluted market capitalization of several tens of billions of dollars) before returning to more consistent prices: between 7 and 9 dollars at the time of writing.
An average of $8 corresponds to a current market capitalization of more than $2 billion, placing the Bored Ape YC token in 49th position in the CoinMarketCap ranking.

These prices still represent nearly $80,000 and $16,000 offered as airdrop to each Bored Ape and Mutant Ape owner respectively. As a consequence, the price of the different collections of the BAYC ecosystem has suffered a strong drop and seems to be already rising while several utilities could be added to these NFTs.
Indeed, the current proposals made to the ApeCoin DAO concern a staking of the $APE token in correlation with the use of Bored Apes and Mutant Apes.
