Wormhole Airdrop: How to Qualify for HOLE Token
If you closely follow the most popular airdrops, you have probably heard of LayerZero and its highly talked about ZRO token airdrop throughout the year. Now, it’s Wormhole and its HOLE token that define itself as the main ‘competitor’ to LayerZero within the airdrop community.
Wormhole could very well offer an airdrop just as interesting as LayerZero due to its low number of users.
Discover in this guide how to be eligible for the Wormhole airdrop.
Key Points about the Wormhole Airdrop
- Project: Wormhole
- Costs: Paid (Mainnet)
- Token: $HOLE
- Difficulty: Medium
What is Wormhole?
Wormhole is a protocol that allows for the transfer of digital assets between different blockchains. It was created in 2021 by Wormhole Labs and is based on Solana blockchain technology. The bridge enables the transfer of the following assets:
- ERC-20 Tokens: Wormhole supports the bridging of ERC-20 tokens between Ethereum and other blockchains such as Solana, Avalanche, Terra, and Binance Smart Chain.
- NFTs: Wormhole allows for the bridging of NFTs between Ethereum and Solana.
- DeFi: Wormhole allows for the bridging of DeFi assets between Ethereum and Solana, such as stablecoins, LP tokens, and yield farming tokens.
Some advantages of Wormhole include security, efficiency, and interoperability. However, there are also some drawbacks, such as being still in development and complexity for developers.

How to Qualify for the Wormhole Airdrop?
In order to interact with Wormhole, you will first need to have one or more wallets that support the networks on which Wormhole offers its services. Below are some wallets for different networks:
Solana:
Sui:
- Install Sui Wallet
- Install Ethos Sui Wallet
- Install Martian Wallet (Sui & Aptos)
Wallet EVM:
Like most projects, the eligibility conditions for the airdrop are not disclosed. The goal will be to interact with as many dApps using the Wormhole protocol as possible, while maximizing the volume and number of transactions made on it.
1 – Interacting with the Protal Bridge
The Portal Bridge is the main bridge of Wormhole. Like in our LayerZero airdrop guide, the principle is quite similar. The goal is to exchange tokens between different blockchains. Start by going to the Portal Bridge platform and connect one or more wallets according to the networks you want to involve in your exchange.
Select the network from which you want to send tokens in the ‘From’ box, as well as the token and the amount you want to send. In the ‘To’ box, select the destination network and the token you want to receive there.
Make sure the proposed route is the one using Wormhole, then click on ‘Approve and proceed with transaction’ and validate the transaction on your first wallet.
Once your transaction is confirmed on your first wallet, you will need to claim your tokens on the second wallet by validating a transaction. If you miss the ‘Claim’ button for any reason, you can find the option to claim your tokens using Wormhole Scan.
The Portal Bridge platform also offers a bridge dedicated to the stablecoin $USDC. The principle is the same, bridging your $USDC tokens in the ‘USDC’ tab.
The goal is to interact with as many networks/tokens as you want while conducting a large number of transactions and volume. Repeat the process with other networks/tokens as much as you want.
2 – Bridging wNFTs and wFTs on Merkly
The Merkly platform allows you to bridge $WMERK tokens and NFTs from one network to several networks very quickly, allowing you to interact with a large number of networks fairly quickly while avoiding spending too much on gas fees.
Start by going to the Merkly platform and click on the ‘Wormhole’ tab. Then connect your wallet with the network from which you want to send your tokens.
Check the networks to which you want to send an NFT, then click on the ‘Mint’ button to get an NFT for each selected network and validate the transaction. Click on the ‘Send’ button to finalize the bridge to these multiple networks.
Then go to the ‘wFT Bridge’ tab to bridge tokens. The principle is the same: select the network from which you want to send tokens and the networks to which you want to send them.
Select the amount of tokens you want to send to each network, then click on the ‘Claim [chosen amount] $WMERK’ button and validate the transaction. Once you receive your tokens, click on ‘Start Bridging’.
Afterwards, click on the ‘Bridge to’ button next to each selected network and validate each transaction one by one.
Although the conditions for the potential airdrop are not clear, this platform allows us to quickly and easily increase the number of networks we have interacted with. Feel free to repeat the process with other source networks.
This platform also offers the same functionalities using LayerZero. If you want to qualify for the LayerZero airdrop, follow our dedicated guide.
3 – Zealy Community Space
Wormhole has a Zealy space that could potentially be a way to distinguish the most engaged users and reward them in an airdrop. The missions mainly involve interactions with Wormhole’s social networks and some quizzes.
To complete these missions, you will first need to connect your wallet and link your X account as well as your Discord account. Then click on the mission you want, follow the instructions, and claim your reward.
It is possible that Wormhole adds new tasks to this space, so make sure to check for any new missions.
Important Clarifications
To maximize your chances of qualifying for the HOLE token airdrop, try to maximize the number of transactions and volume through the Wormhole protocol. Also, make sure to interact with as many networks as possible.
If you want to use other dApps using the Wormhole protocol, you can find them on the official Wormhole website. To stay updated on Wormhole news, make sure to follow the X account @wormholecrypto on Twitter.
