Hut 8 Forms Strategic Alliance with American Data Centers to Launch American Bitcoin
Canadian cryptocurrency mining giant Hut 8 has partnered with American Data Centers, a company backed by Eric and Donald Trump Jr., to create a new entity called American Bitcoin. Under the merger, Hut 8 will hold 80% of the shares while the Trump camp will retain 20%, with no cash transfer involved.
This move marks a new foray into the crypto world for the Trump family. After supporting the DeFi protocol World Liberty Financial and launching two memecoins earlier this year, they are now venturing into the industrial core of the sector: Bitcoin mining.
