Bitget Card: the new crypto card from Bitget exchange
The Bitget trading platform recently announced the launch of the Bitget Card, a “Platinum” Visa card that will allow its owners to make purchases worldwide.
“The Bitget Card highlights our commitment to fostering a financial landscape where everyone can participate in the crypto revolution. By optimally connecting traditional finance and digital finance, we are not just launching a new card, but paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable future.”
– said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget.
To be able to make purchases, users will need to maintain a certain balance in USDT on their Bitget account to “authorize USD payments“. Note that the card will be accepted on any terminal that supports the Visa payment network.
Regarding currency exchange fees, Bitget states that they will be “minimal” in its statement. In terms of benefits, cardholders will be able to receive BGB cashback, the native token of Bitget, on their purchases, in addition to other “exclusive privileges” that the platform has not mentioned.
A card available now for “internal staff”
As of today, this card is available to Bitget’s internal staff, and during the first quarter, the Bitget Card will then be extended to all eligible users worldwide.
Initially, users will be able to retrieve their virtual card, before receiving the physical version of the Bitget Card planned for the upcoming weeks. Once in possession of the virtual card, holders can already use it with compatible services like Google Pay and Apple Pay.
