After being diagnosed with congestive heart failure in January, Aronow took a leave of absence and stated that he is not yet ready to return to work, even part-time. He emphasizes the importance of his long-term health.

Despite stepping back from day-to-day operations, Gordon Goner continues to play a key role in overseeing Yuga Labs’ operations, the company behind NFT projects such as Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and CryptoPunks. He has identified key issues within the company and suggested necessary changes, demonstrating his ongoing commitment as a board member and strategic advisor.

Aronow expresses confidence in Yuga Labs’ current leadership, anticipating a pivotal year in 2024. Despite health challenges, he remains optimistic about the future of the company and its brands.
