Vryx: A New Layer 2 Solution to Enhance Avalanche Performance
- Ava Labs presents Vryx, an ambitious scaling solution for the Avalanche blockchain.
- The goal is to achieve a processing capacity of 100,000 transactions per second (TPS).
- The technology will initially be deployed on the HyperSDK testnet, scheduled for mid-Q2.
Ava Labs Presents Their New Solution: Vryx
Ava Labs, the development team behind the Avalanche network, recently unveiled the specifics of Vryx— their new scaling solution designed to enhance the capacity of the Avalanche blockchain. Their objective is to significantly improve the network’s performance, with the aim of reaching up to 100,000 transactions per second.
It is important to note that the first benchmarks of this technology are expected in the coming weeks, marking a crucial milestone towards achieving this ambitious goal.
Record-Breaking Performance Expected with Vryx
The implementation of Vryx will initially take place on the first HyperSDK testnet, with a target release in the middle of the second quarter.
HyperSDK is a platform designed for the development of high-performance blockchains, equipped with virtual machines that facilitate the creation and execution of smart contracts.
Vryx is specifically designed to support these blockchains, known as ‘hyperchains,’ built using HyperSDK. The approach is based on dividing the transaction process into multiple parts, which are executed sequentially, allowing for the verification of a block of transactions while preparing the next block.
‘Vryx is the key mechanism that, in our opinion, will enable us to offer best-in-class performance,’ adds the Ava Labs team.
This strategy, already used by other blockchain platforms such as Aptos and Sui, promises to deliver comparable, if not superior, performance in adversarial environments.
