Solana Mobile Unveils SKR Token for Seeker Ecosystem

Solana Mobile is reaching a pivotal milestone in its Web3 strategy. The company detailed last night the launch of SKR, the future native token of its decentralized mobile ecosystem. It will arrive in January 2026, with the ambition of becoming the economic and governance engine of the Seeker, the next-generation smartphone launched in August.

Solana Mobile unveils SKR token with a 10 billion supply

SKR will have a maximum circulation of 10 billion tokens. Solana Mobile is focusing on a distribution designed to promote ecosystem adoption and growth. Not less than 30% will go to airdrops, a strategy already proven in the Solana universe, followed by:

• 25% for growth initiatives and partnerships
• 10% for liquidity and launch support
• 10% for community treasury
• 15% allocated to Solana Mobile
• 10% reserved for Solana Labs

The message is clear: the majority of the capital should return to the users, developers, and partners who will make the Seeker platform thrive.

A controlled inflationary model to reward pioneers

The token will adopt a linear inflation intended to encourage staking and network participation. Inflation will start at 10% in the first year, then decrease by 25% per year until reaching a terminal rate of 2%.

The logic: strongly stimulate activity initially, attract early users, while ensuring a stable and predictable emission trajectory in the long term. A mechanism similar to that used in proof-of-stake networks to align incentives and secure expansion.

The Seeker: a Web3 smartphone designed for the on-chain era

The Seeker, unveiled in August, is the successor to the Saga. It features enhanced hardware, security tailored to crypto-native, and a deeper integration of on-chain functionalities. SKR will be the economic core: incentives, governance, activation of decentralized apps, rewards… the smartphone becomes a gateway to a vertically integrated Web3 ecosystem.

Solana Mobile is betting on a model where the mobile device is no longer just a terminal, but a node in the network. A vision already noticeable with the rise of mobile dApps and the increasing need for embedded wallets.

A strategy that goes far beyond hardware

With SKR, Solana Mobile is not just launching a new phone. It is building a proprietary economy designed to connect developers, creators, users, and partners in the same on-chain framework. And if the Saga had opened an unexpected path with its airdrops, the Seeker could solidly structure a Web3 mobile ecosystem for the long term.

See you in January: SKR could propel Solana’s mobile ecosystem, or disappoint its community…
