An Immersive Digital Environment
Pudgy Penguins, a renowned NFT collection launched in July 2021, has recently unveiled ‘Pudgy World’, a 3D browser game set to release in 2024.
Following a restructure after controversies, this initiative marks a significant milestone for Pudgy Penguins, having raised $9 million and expanding its presence, including the sale of plush toys in over 2000 Walmart stores in the United States.
The collection currently trades at a floor price of approximately 11.75 ETH, which is equivalent to around $27,000. Additionally, the project records a trading volume of 225,000 ETH in total and ranks as the top collection on Opensea.
Pudgy World to Be Powered by zkSync Blockchain
According to initial information, Pudgy World will be a free game, offering players the chance to customize their characters. The storyline will follow the adventure of two penguins, Pudgy and Peaches.
“The alpha launch of Pudgy World is a significant step forward for the Web3 and NFT space as Pudgy Penguin owners will be able to play with their Pudgy Toys without any prior knowledge of the underlying blockchain technology it is built on.”
– Pudgy Penguins CEO
The game will run on the zkSync blockchain and utilize zero-knowledge proof (ZK) technology to enhance user privacy and introduce new economic models and gaming experiences.
More details about the gameplay are expected to emerge in the coming weeks.
