Ethereum Founder Vitalik Buterin’s Transactions in September 2023

The co-founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin, is making headlines in the blockchain ecosystem with a series of Ether transactions from his wallet in September 2023, totaling over $3.9 million. Specific information indicates that as of September 25th, Vitalik Buterin transferred a notable sum of 400 ETH, equivalent to approximately $630,000, to the famous exchange platform, Coinbase. Blockchain analysts have also revealed that this transfer is part of a larger context, illustrating a trend of ETH deposits to various centralized exchange platforms in the past ten days.

Distribution of Vitalik’s Recent Deposits

A close examination of these transactions shows that, since September 15th, Vitalik has made deposits totaling approximately 2,421 ETH, or about $3.94 million. Further analysis reveals that between September 15th and 19th, deposits of 321 ETH were made to Kraken. Additionally, there were consecutive deposits of 1,700 ETH on Bitstamp on September 17th and 20th, as well as a separate deposit of 500 ETH on Paxos on September 19th.

Another notable transaction highlighted by Nansen was a transfer of 3,000 ETH between wallets associated with Vitalik Buterin. The source of a significant 2,000 ETH transaction is identified to an address recognized as belonging to Vitalik in relation to a secondary address active in fund transfers to exchange platforms. Finally, the vitalik.eth address was previously documented by CoinAcademy for an impressive 600 ETH transaction (valued at $1 million) on August 21st.
