Dymension Offers Massive DYM Token Airdrop to Over One Million Users Across Various Blockchains
In an era where airdrops continue to captivate the crypto community, Dymension, a layer 1 blockchain integrating the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol, is launching its own airdrop to celebrate and reward its extensive community. The initiative aims to distribute DYM tokens to over one million crypto users across different networks and projects.
Discover in this article the eligibility requirements for the Dymension airdrop and how to claim your DYM tokens.
A Bridge Between Networks via IBC
Dymension presents itself as an innovative network for deploying app chains called “RollApps”. By standardizing rollups with IBC, similar to Ethereum’s ERC token standardization, Dymension aims to create an interoperable and flexible ecosystem. This approach allows RollApp creators to choose the virtual machine and token to use and publish data on external chains such as Celestia or Avail.
The Dymension Genesis Rolldrop
Dymension has revealed its “Genesis Rolldrop,” offering DYM tokens to eligible users until January 21st. While residents of the United States cannot participate in the airdrop, a wide variety of other crypto users are eligible, with around 70 million DYM tokens (7% of the total supply) made available.
What Are the Eligibility Requirements for the Dymension Airdrop and How to Claim Your DYM tokens?
Users of Celestia, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, the upcoming Blast, as well as Cosmos Hub, Stride, and Osmosis, are eligible for the DYM airdrop. The airdrop also extends to specific users of Solana, including those who have used protocols such as Wormhole, the Tensor NFT marketplace, and the Drip.Haus NFT distribution platform. Additionally, owners of NFT collections like Pudgy Penguins, Mad Lads, Tensorians, and Bad Kids are also eligible to receive an allocation of DYM tokens.
You can check your eligibility on the official Dymension website or by visiting genesis.dymension.xyz. Simply paste the addresses you wish to check. You do not need to connect your wallet until you are eligible.
If your wallet is eligible, you just need to sign a message (transaction without fees) and paste an EVM address that will receive the DYM tokens during the distribution.
Following this initial airdrop, Dymension proposes to allocate an additional 2.5 million DYM tokens to users who transfer funds to the chain from other networks. Eligible tokens include USDC, TIA, USDT, ATOM, ETH, and SOL, with this program scheduled to start approximately one week after the launch of the Dymension airdrop.
