Chainlink has launched Transporter, a cross-chain bridge built on the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) technology. This bridge aims to address the issue of security and provide a user-friendly interface with almost invisible fees.
Hacks on bridges account for nearly 50% of the total value stolen in the blockchain industry.
Sécurité renforcée avec le bridge de Chainlink, Transporter
Transporter aims to address the issue of security and provide a user-friendly interface. It will also be cost-effective, with users only paying the standard CCIP fees of 0.063% when paying with LINK tokens.
CCIP secures all transfers on Transporter, including multiple decentralized node networks, configurable rate limits, and comprehensive audits. The interface will provide real-time updates on the status of users’ tokens and optimize transfer prices.
Mécanismes de transfert de tokens dans le Mainnet
CCIP uses two token transfer methods: Burn and Mint, where tokens are burned on the source blockchain and an equal number of tokens are issued on the destination chain, and Lock and Mint, where tokens are locked on the source chain and wrapped tokens are issued on the destination chain.
These tokens can then be burned to unlock the tokens on the source chain. Transporter will introduce a new transfer mechanism called ‘lock and unlock’, where tokens are locked on the source chain and an equal number of tokens are unlocked on the destination chain.
