Bitpanda Partners with Deutsche Bank to Process Fiat Transactions
Bitpanda has announced a strategic partnership with Deutsche Bank, strengthening its presence in Germany. This collaboration allows Bitpanda to process fiat deposits and withdrawals for its German users. The partnership marks a significant milestone for Bitpanda as it aims to expand its cryptocurrency management services in a highly regulated European framework.
Facilitating Transactions and Integrating Local IBANs
One of the most notable aspects of this partnership is Bitpanda’s ability to offer German international bank account numbers (IBANs) to its users, facilitating conversions between crypto and fiat. Deutsche Bank will also provide support for incoming and outgoing transactions on the Bitpanda platform.
Continued Expansion and Custodial Services
This partnership with Deutsche Bank follows another major collaboration between Bitpanda and Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW), the largest state bank in Germany. Together, they plan to launch crypto custody services in the second half of the year. Deutsche Bank, on the other hand, is further expanding its involvement in cryptocurrencies and tokenization. Last year, the bank added crypto custody and tokenization to its service portfolio in partnership with Taurus. This recent development with Bitpanda only strengthens Deutsche Bank’s position as an innovative player ready to embrace emerging technologies in the financial sector.
