Monad will officially launch its Layer 1 blockchain and native token MON on November 24th at 3 PM, taking the lead over MegaETH.
The airdrop targets 225,000 on-chain verified users from major protocols like Uniswap, Aave, Hyperliquid, and Pump.fun, strengthening the community governance of the network.
Backed by $225 million in funding, Monad promises an EVM-compatible blockchain combining the speed of Solana and the decentralization of Ethereum, with planned integrations on Uniswap, Magic Eden, and OpenSea.
Monad promises a massive and ultra-selective airdrop
Since mid-October, users could connect to the claiming portal to discover their MON allocation. The operation closed on November 3 after a record influx that even slowed down the partner wallet Privy. A clear sign: the rush to Monad has already begun.
The airdrop is not for everyone. Monad has chosen to reward its early contributors and some 225,000 on-chain verified users from the top protocols in the sector. Among them are active traders on Hyperliquid and Uniswap, lenders on Aave, Euler, and Morpho, and users of memecoin launchpads like Pump.fun and Virtuals. Influential members of several DAOs and historical NFT collectors have also been included in the distribution. A clear strategy: anchor the network governance in the hands of true Web3 assets.
We want the Monad community members to be major players in the network. They will shape not only the future of Monad but the entire crypto space.
An ambitious vision already financed
Founded in 2022, Monad has raised $225 million to develop an EVM-compatible blockchain as fast as Solana but as decentralized as Ethereum. Its testnet has already demonstrated a parallel execution engine capable of processing thousands of transactions simultaneously, with a custom database system MonadDb ensuring finality in less than a second.
At the launch, Monad already plans major integrations with Uniswap, Magic Eden, and OpenSea, as well as direct compatibility with wallets OKX, Backpack, MetaMask, or Rabby.
A distribution designed for the ecosystem
In addition to the community airdrop, a portion of the tokens will be reserved for education and security initiatives: RareSkills, SheFi, SEAL 911, and Protocol Guild are among the beneficiaries. Monad has even released a limited series of “Monad Cards,” showcasing influential creators and commentators from Web3, demonstrating the project’s desire to blend technological innovation with crypto culture.
The complete tokenomics have not yet been revealed, but one thing is certain, facing off against the current L2 MegaETH, Monad has not yet spoken its last word.
