The trial of Craig Wright, who claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto, has been rescheduled for February.<\/strong><\/p>\n New evidence has been submitted by Wright, found on USB drives.<\/strong><\/p>\n Wright has been ordered to pay substantial legal fees.<\/strong><\/p>\n The trial between Craig Wright and Bitcoin Core developers has recently been rescheduled for February<\/strong> following the discovery of new evidence.<\/p>\n During a recent review in court on December 15th, Judge Edward James Mellor allowed Wright to submit 97 additional documents to support his claim,<\/strong> allegedly found on USB drives discovered at his residence.<\/strong> These documents included LaTex files used to write the Bitcoin whitepaper.<\/strong><\/p>\n However, Bitcoin developers have accused Wright of fabricating evidence<\/strong> and manipulating metadata.<\/strong><\/p>\n In 2016, Craig Wright claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto<\/strong>, the mysterious creator of Bitcoin.<\/p>\n Following this claim, he filed lawsuits against 13 key Bitcoin Core developers<\/strong> and several influential companies in the cryptocurrency space.<\/p>\n Specifically, he accuses them of infringing his copyright on the Bitcoin whitepaper.<\/strong><\/p>\n Judge Edward James Mellor has granted a request from Bitcoin Core developers to provide them with additional financial protection.<\/strong> This decision requires Wright to pay an additional sum of \u00a3800,000<\/strong> (approximately $1 million<\/strong>) by January 5th.<\/p>\n The purpose of this amount is to ensure that if Wright were to lose the trial, the legal fees incurred by the Bitcoin Core developers would be covered.<\/p>\n Furthermore, Wright had already deposited \u00a3100,000 ($127,000)<\/strong> as security payment.
